FAQ

 

1) When will SoW be released?

When  it's done. Estimated time of arrival is mid 2010, but this is an estimate and subject to change. I won't rush SoW out the door unfinished just to make an arbitrary deadline.

2) How awesome wil SoW be, on a scale of 1-10?

11.53 units of awesome, approximately.

3) Can a female character join the Brotherhood?

Yes. The Brotherhood is, ironically, relatively gender neutral, one of the few such Koethan institutions. Brotherhood members are considered almost genderless in Koeth. The idea of a normal citizen looking at a Brotherhood mage in a sexual light is...ludicrous.

4) Elves. How many Elven sub-races will there be? Drow?

None. Absolutely not. No elves whatsoever.

5) Why the First Person viewpoint and real time?

 I like first person real time RPGs the most, and I'm the designer so what I want goes.

6) Will there be Dual Wielding?

Dual Wielding isn't planned at this time. 

7) Will SoW be modder friendly?

Yes, very much so. A set of powerful tools will be shipped with SoW at no extra charge, allowing modders to easily create new adventures to share.

9) What engine is SoW built on?

SoW is built on the Torque Game Engine Advanced (TGEA) from GarageGames .

8) Linux and Mac support?

Currently TGEA supports PC and Mac only, but Linux is certainly an option that will be persued. Wherever there are gamers interested in SoW I will do my best to get it to them.
